Renato Poletti

President, Foundation for Heritage and Cultural and Artistic Activities of the Church
Renato Poletti was appointed president of the Science and Faith (STOQ) Foundation and president of the Foundation for Heritage and Cultural and Artistic Activities of the Church by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, President of the Pontifical Council for Culture. Mr. Poletti has had a long career in government administration starting in 1983. He holds a degree in forestry and environmental sciences from the University of Padua. Mr. Poletti was treasurer counsellor of the Court of the Gentiles Foundation until October 2014, and, in June 2014, was appointed as member of the foundation board Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza in San Giovanni Rotondo (FG) by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin. He now serves as vice president of Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, the hospital of Saint Pio in Puglia.
In addition, Mr. Poletti was director general of Information Services, Statistics and Communication of the Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport starting February 2012 and director general for Airports and Air Transport of the Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport starting November 2014.
In 2007, Mr. Poletti founded and became president of the Association of the University College of the ex–students of the Abbey of Santa Giustina in Padua and served as vice president of Santa Rita of Cascia–Foundation Mastrocola (Diocese of Macerata–Tolentino–Recanati–Cingoli–Treia), where he represents the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
